TRANSLATIONS/ अनुवाद
Richa Nagar works seamlessly in and across Hindi/ Hindustani and English as a thinker, writer, alliance-worker, and performer. For her, an ethical translation is a perpetually hungry relationship — a non-stop dance — that continuously strives for justice without an expectation of perfection or closure, and without a fixed origin or destination. Much of her work in English and Hindi embodies this understanding of translation in the form of ever evolving retellings and analyses of journeys with co-travelers and audiences in multiple worlds. In addition to the reflections of her saathis in SKMS and Parakh, she has also translated writings of other authors, including Avatar Singh Sandhu ‘Pash', Jacinta Kerketta, Marwan Makhoul, and Refaat Alareer.
